Social Justice Resources

The FCT Foundation encourages all practitioners who work with families to either remain or become intentional, in the essential societal focus of multicultural and social justice competencies. We have an opportunity, now, to embrace change and support those individuals and families that have not had an equal ‘voice’ to promote these critical societal changes.

Data is clear and shows that there are disproportionate numbers of children from minority communities—particularly African American and Native American communities—that are involved in the child welfare and juvenile justice systems. The FCT Foundation is aware of the institutional racism and discrimination that perpetuates cycles of involvement of minority communities in these systems and will actively identify opportunities to dismantle institutional racism/discrimination and these cycles.

The FCT Foundation Board is committed to promoting respect for human dignity, diversity, facilitating healing, and promotion of the FCT Value that families are capable of greatness. If there are specific areas you would like more information on, please contact us here.
