Two reviews find FCT to be Well-Supported!
Funded and facilitated by Arkansas DHS and Nebraska DHHS, two independent reviews have found Family Centered Treatment to be Well-Supported based on the Title IV-E Clearinghouses Standards.
The National Council on Crime & Delinquency (facilitated and funded by Arkansas DHS) and the Stephen Group (facilitated and funded by Nebraska DHHS) both came to the independent conclusion that FCT is Well-Supported as there are two contrasts with non-overlapping samples in studies carried out in usual care or practice settings that achieve a rating of moderate or high on design and execution and demonstrate favorable effects in a target outcome domain. At least one of the contrasts demonstrated a sustained favorable effect of at least 12 months beyond the end of treatment on at least one target outcome.
Arkansas, Nebraska, and Kansas have included FCT in their state plans for inclusion to be funded through Family First Act. Arkansas and Nebraska are now pursuing transitional payments for FCT, pending formal review from the HHS Title IV-E Clearinghouse.
