SCDSS Awards Grant to South Carolina MENTOR for SC Expansion!

The FCT Foundation is excited to partner with the South Carolina Department of Social Services (SCDSS) and South Carolina MENTOR to bring FCT to the state of South Carolina! This is all made possible by a SCDSS Family First Prevention Services - Capacity Building Grant and will bring FCT services to the Midlands and Upstate regions of South Carolina. SCDSS’ charge is to protect the state’s most vulnerable populations through its mission to promote the safety, permanency, and well-being of children while strengthening families. To fulfill its objective, SCDSS envisions a system that is Trauma-informed, family-centered, strengths-based, and culturally responsive. It recognizes that children belong in the least restrictive, most family-like settings possible; where they can thrive and grow. The FCT Foundation would like to recognize South Carolina MENTOR’s perseverance, excellent stakeholder relationships, and hard work in securing this grant. Through this partnership more families will benefit from the FCT evidence-based model of home-based family therapy.
